Faz sentido buscar por formas de vida que existam além da Terra, mas, até o momento, não há prova de que tais existam", considerou.
A conclusão da conferência é de que há, "plausivelmente", milhões de planetas habitáveis somente na Via Láctea, que é apenas uma entre as bilhões de galáxias estimadas no nosso universo.
